![]() Interior designer to the stars, Kari Whitman is one of Los Angeles' premier talents and a recognized star in her own right thanks to her hit shows The Kari Whitman Show on WE and The Dude Room on The Discovery Channel. Recognized by the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID) and spotlighted on HGTV and in the pages of The New York Times, The LA Times , The Daily News, InStyle, Ultimate Decorating, Homes by Design and numerous other prestigious publications, this Colorado native's work combines modern taste and classic touches with a deep concern for the environment. Her 'signature style', inspired by her creative use of artifacts salvaged from her frequent world travels, has attracted a large celebrity clientele and is showcased in residential and commercial projects from California to New York. Kari's success on television and in the design world has afforded her the ability to doggedly pursue her other passion - animal rescue. In 2001 Kari founded the non-profit organization Ace of Hearts (named in memory of her beloved dog, Ace) devoted to rescuing and finding homes for dogs slated to be euthanized in animal shelters throughout the Los Angeles area.
